The Sanctuary – Zionsville
Angelic paintings and food for the soul

The spacious Sanctuary Gallery has become a place of rest for many people visiting quaint Zionsville. They enjoy viewing the beautiful oil paintings of Nancy Noel that are displayed in the lofty gallery space that was once the sanctuary of this 19th century Victorian church on Main Street. Best known for her images of child angels and the book, “All God’s Creatures Go to Heaven,” Noel’s book and many images from the original illustrations are available as open edition prints through the gallery.
More angelic images and paintings of Amish children and African women (Noel has visited and supported a Kenyan school for years) extend from the gallery into The Restaurant at The Sanctuary that is located in the former church offices and and some tables are placed in the choir loft with views into the gallery.
Light from stained glass windows colors the dining area and offers a peaceful place to dine. Chef Ghyslain Maurais, best known for his French pastries and gourmet chocolates, chooses seasonal products to create his flavorful lunch menus.
Ghyslain Chocolates can be purchased individually from display cases if you choose to dine elsewhere but the experience of dining here is heavenly and well-worth the time taken to plan and make reservations.
