If I had to describe myself with one word it would be artist - a visual artist and an artist with words. My artwork is included in Ohio Online Visual Arts Registry. I'm working with various galleries in the Midwest to promote my oil paintings and abstract light photography.

Flame Run Glass – Louisville

“We feel we have a lot of talent and an opportunity to share that talent with the community,” said artist/owner, Brook Forrest White, Jr.  “It is so much more than the gallery and the hot shop. It is the interaction of people with our art.” At Louisville’s newest glass studio, Flame Run, the artists want the public to share the excitement of the creative process.

Visitors often enter through the Hot Shop door, drawn to the activity and the glowing kilns.  The greater part of the 13,000-square foot facility is devoted to studio space.  A spacious observation loft area was built on one side of the studio and there is never a charge to stop by for awhile to see what is happening in the production area.

Artists are willing to answer questions, explain processes, and discuss or price special commissions.  “We encourage people to learn more about working with glass in our community classes or with private lessons,” said White.  “We even hosted a corporate group that used the glass making processes for a day-long team building session.”

The Flame Run Gallery showcases the work of the studio’s artists.  “We designed a high quality gallery to display our own work, about 80% of the work is by the artisans here,” said White, “and to create regionally, and even nationally important exhibits of new work.”  The works of nationally known glass artists can be viewed in the gallery regularly so check the Flame Run web site for current exhibitions and events.
