Veterans Plaza – Capitol Square – Columbus
Remembering Our Veterans

Veteran’s Plaza was developed as a tribute to ALL veterans of all wars after WW I. Letters Home were chosen from contemporary conflicts but not identified by the year, service unit, or the full name of the writer. Even though the letters have universal and timeless comments about war, patriotism, and love of family, it is often easy to determine the conflict. All of the letters selected for the memorial are listed in full online at the link below.

The Statehouse grounds have a famous “Doughboy” statue and memorials for the Civil War and Spanish American War as well as other memorials and statues so I included the link to more information about Capitol Square. The easiest access is to Veteran’s Plaza is from Third Street and there is convenient underground parking.
